FAQs

+Do loungers float?

Yes. When filled correctly, the House of Dune Floating Lounger floats gently in the pool and also works as poolside furniture. Filling is not included.

+Is this a pool bean bag?

Yes. A pool bean bag is a bean bag made to float, and that's the Floating Lounger: filled with bean bag beads instead of air, it floats in the pool and works as a bean bag on the deck. It fits two. Filling is not included: allow about 600 L of outdoor bean bag beads, a little more for a firmer feel.

+Is it safe for children?

It's a lounger, not a swimming aid or flotation device, so always supervise children in and around the pool. The child-safety zip closes by hand and opens only with a paperclip or keyring.

+What fabric do you use?

The House of Dune Floating Lounger cover is premium Olefin: solution-dyed for UV resistance, fade-proof, quick-dry, soft to the touch and made for outdoor use.

+Is filling included?

Filling is not included. We recommend about 600 L of outdoor bean bag fill (EPS beads). If you prefer a firmer fill, add a little more.

+Where do I buy the filling?

Use outdoor EPS bean bag refill (polystyrene beads). It's sold by bean bag retailers, homewares stores and some hardware stores, in bags of about 100 to 300 litres. We recommend about 600 L in total, or a little more for a firmer fill. Our setup video shows how to fill the liner.

+How do I care for the cover?

Covers are removable and washable. Hand or machine wash at 30°C or below with a mild detergent, and air dry upright. Do not bleach, iron or dry clean. Rinse with fresh water after use.

+Will the cover go mouldy?

The Olefin cover is mould-resistant, not mould-proof. After use, rinse it with fresh water and let it dry completely before you store it. Keep it somewhere dry and out of direct sun when it's not in use. The cover is removable and washable: if you see marks, wash it gently and let it air-dry.
